Objectives:

  • To develop and deliver high-potential disruptive aircraft concepts achieving a minimum – 30% reduction3 in CO2 emissions for the market segment, with the aim to achieve up to TRL6 for critical technologiesfor the aircraft concepts considered at project end with the potential for exploitation by 2035
  • To demonstrate a hybrid-electric propulsive system for the Ultra-Efficient Regional aircraft concept considered by Clean Aviation SRIA for Entry Into Service by 2035
  • To demonstrate on-board systems required for hybrid-electric propulsion and more-electric non-propulsive systems on the Ultra Efficient Regional aircraft concept considered by Clean Aviation SRIA for Entry into Service by 2035
  • To demonstrate the aircraft integration of an hybrid-electric powertrain and more-electric on-board systems for the Ultra-Efficient Regional aircraft concept considered by Clean Aviation SRIA for Entry Into Service by 2035
  • To demonstrate a ducted propulsion system on-ground at TRL5 for a Short Medium Range aircraft concept considered by Clean Aviation SRIA for EIS in 2035
  • To demonstrate an unducted propulsion system architecture with a sealevel static thrust of 25000 to 30000lbf in flight at TRL6 for a Short Medium Range aircraft concept considered by Clean Aviation SRIA for EIS in 2035
  • To demonstrate non-propulsive energy architecture for more electric aircraft on-ground at TRL5 for a Short Medium Range aircraft concept considered by Clean Aviation SRIA for EIS in 2035
