Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To continue activities of the ongoing Free Media Hub EAST project
  • To sustain and improve existing financial and other kinds of support to exiled independent media from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine
  • To foster coordination and consolidation of a pan-European platform or network of media hubs to promote preservation of a pluralistic media environment
  • To create conditions for exiled independent media and journalists to work in the EU so they can continue producing content and distributing it to their audiences without editorial interference

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal
  • A consortium composed of at least 5 applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities), which complies with the following conditions must be constituted:
    • minimum 3 independent entities from 3 different eligible countries

Additional information

  • Initial duration of the action: between 22 and 24 months.

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.
