Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To ensure that the European Parliament’s proceedings can be followed in real-time in all official languages of the European Union
  • To collaborate with universities and organizations specializing in conference interpreter training
  • To promote quality and linguistic diversity in the teaching of conference interpreting in the official languages of the EU, candidate countries, and the Union’s main political partners
  • To establish postgraduate centers of excellence
  • To encourage cooperation among postgraduate courses from different European, candidate, and third countries offering relevant language combinations
  • To foster regional cooperation among universities with complementary language regimes
  • To integrate modern information and communication technologies in the training of conference interpreters

Among financed actions

  • Organisation of high-quality master or post-graduate courses in conference interpreting
  • Promotion of excellence in conference interpreter training, cooperation among universities training conference interpreters, and research into technical developments in the area of conference interpreting
  • Organisation of high-quality master, post-graduate, or bachelor courses by Ukrainian universities with conference interpreting components

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a private entity
  • Be a Higher-Education Institutions, Universities, consortia and associations of universities or institutes
  • Be an association, consortia and bodies
