Priorities and funded actions

Objectives :

  • To develop technologies for monitoring, defending, and responding to threats targeting underwater critical infrastructures in deep-water environments (200 to 6000 meters), with a focus on Seabed Warfare (SBW) and enhancing EU defense capabilities
  • To lay the foundations for radically new technologies with the potential for technological superiority, while fostering the involvement of new actors in defense research, including high-tech SMEs, researchers, and visionary organizations

Priorities :

  • Priority 1: To improve detection and reaction capabilities in SBW scenarios
  • Priority 2: To enhance innovation capacity of the EDTIB by identifying and exploring groundbreaking concepts and approaches or by applying technologies and concepts previously not applied in the defence sector

Eligibility :

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
  • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
  • Non-EU states : listed EEA countries and countries associated to the European Defence Fund (Click here)
  • Have its executive management structure established in eligible countries
  • Must not be subject to control by a non-associated third country or non-associated third-country entity
  • Project proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least three entities based in at least three member states or associated countries
