Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To raise the capacity of grassroots sport organisations
  • To encourage the practice of sport and physical activity in third countries not associated to the Programme
  • To promote social inclusion through sport
  • To promote positive values through sport (such as fair play, tolerance, team spirit)
  • To foster cooperation across different regions of the world through joint initiatives

Priorities

  • Priority 1: the promotion of common values, non-discrimination and gender equality through sport
  • Priority 2: the development of skills (through sport) needed to improve the social involvement of disadvantaged groups (e.g.
    independence, leadership etc.)

Among financed actions

  • Creating and developing networks between organisations/countries/regions
  • Implementing common sport activities and educational side events

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be active in the field of sport
  • Be established in an EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme or in third country not associated to the Programme from Region 1 (Western Balkans) or Region 2 (Neighbourhood East)
  • Capacity Building projects are transnational and involve at least 4 organisations from minimum 3 countries and respect the following conditions :
    • A minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 organisations from EU Member States or third countries associated to the Programme. If 2 organisations are involved, they cannot be from the same EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme
    • A minimum of 2 organisations from at least 1 eligible third country not associated to the Programme from Region 1 (Western Balkans) or Region 2 (Neighbourhood East). Organisations from Region 1 and Region 2 cannot participate in the same proposal (i.e. partnerships including Regions 1 and 2 are not eligible)
  • The coordinator of the consortium must be a non-for-profit organisation.

Additional information

  • Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 36 months

Extensions are possible if duly justified and through an amendment of the Grant Agreement.

  • Total budget of the call: 2.440.000 euros
  • Amount of the grant: between 100.000 and 200.000 euros
  • Funding rate: up to 80% of the total eligible costs
