EDF – Call for EDF research actions, focused on SMEs and research organisations, implemented via lump sum grants – 2023

Objective

To encourage the driving role of innovative SMEs and Research Organisations (RO) in bringing forward innovation defence research, possibly by adapting technologies from civil applications or addressing hybrid warfare.

Additional information

• This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
• Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 48 months

Eligibility

• Be a legal entity
• Be a small and medium-sized entreprise (SME) or research organisation
• A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted

• Total budget of the call: 36 million euro
• Amount of the grant: up to 4 million euro
• Co-financing rate: 100% of the total eligible cost

This grant is a lump sum grant.
