Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote a better understanding, both in general education and vocational training of the European Union and the functioning of its Institutions
  • To address the widespread lack of knowledge of the European Union and a lot of disinformation
  • To support schools and VET providers in planning, organising and delivering EU content in their curricular and extra-curricular activities

Priorities

  • Priority 1: allow schools and VET providers to build knowledge about the EU among their teaching staff
  • Priority 2: offer structured training proposals on EU subjects for schools and VET providers
  • Priority 3: deliver specific individual or group training courses
  • Priority 4: foster the confidence of teachers in integrating an EU angle in their daily work

Among financed actions

  • Training about teaching methodologies in order to address European Union matters
  • Training on European Union matters
  • Learning experiences on European Union subjects which complement already existing courses (collaborative learning among classes, co-teaching)
  • Seminars, summer and intensive courses, other kinds of EU experiences involving other stakeholders

Eligibility

  • Be a higher education institution providing initial and/or in service training to teachers of schools and/or VET institutions (ISCED 1 – 4) and holders of the ECHE Certificate
  • Be a teacher training / education institution or agency providing initial and/or in service training to teachers in schools and/or VET institutions (ISCED 1 – 4)
  • Applicants must be established in an EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme.

Only applications by a single applicant are allowed.

Additional information

  • Initial duration of the action: up to 36 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment of the grant agreement.

  • Total budget of the call: 4 million euros
  • Amount of the grant: up to 300.000 euros
  • Funding rate: up to 80% of the total eligible costs
