Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To foster talent and skills, and promote cross-border cooperation, mobility, and innovation in creating and producing European audiovisual works, encouraging collaboration between Member States with varying capacities

 

Priority

  • Development of audiovisual works by European independent producers, across formats (films, series, documentaries, video games) and genres, targeting diverse audiences, including youth

 

Among financed actions

  • Development (pre-production) of concepts and prototypes of interactive narrative storytelling with original content and/or quality gameplay intended

 

Eligibility

  • be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
    • Creative Europe Participating Countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
    • non-EU countries:
    • listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Creative Europe Programme (list of participating countries)
  • be established in one of the countries participating fully in the MEDIA strand of the Creative Europe Programme and owned directly or indirectly, wholly or by majority participation, by nationals from such countries
  • be European video game production companies, XR studios or audiovisual production companies
  • the coordinator must demonstrate recent experience in producing internationally distributed works

Applications by single applicants are allowed as well as proposals submitted by a consortium of at least 2 applicants

  • Initial duration of the action: maximum 36 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

  • Total budget of the call: 10 million euros
  • Amount of the grant: 200.000 euros per project
  • Funding rate: up to 60% of the total eligible costs

The grant is a lump sum grant.
