Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To develop AI chip prototypes with advanced technologies for industrial scaling
  • To leverage state-of-the-art infrastructure and testing facilities for prototype development
  • To ensure ultra-low power consumption and robust AI capabilities for edge devices

Priorities

  • Priority 1: To prioritize in-memory computing solutions using Non-Volatile Embedded Memories for fast, low-power data storage and retrieval
  • Priority 2: To focus on unconventional neuromorphic and analogue computing architectures for real-time sensing, learning, and inference with minimal energy consumption
  • Priority 3: To invest in advanced 3D integration and packaging technologies for compact chip design that enhances performance and energy efficiency
  • Priority 4: To develop Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for ultra-fast, low-latency AI processing and reliable high-speed connectivity in telecommunication and connected devices
