Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To provide on-the-job-training for new entrepreneurs from SMP participating countries
  • To foster sharing of experience and information between entrepreneurs on the obstacles and challenges of starting up and developing their businesses
  • To enhance market access and the identification of potential partners for new and established entrepreneurs in other participating countries
  • To support networking between entrepreneurs from different participating countries
  • To contribute to enhancing the EU’s economic competitiveness through innovation, decarbonization, and security

 

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
    • Non-EU countries: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Single Market Programme or countries which are in ongoing negotiations for an association agreement and where the agreement enters into force before grant signature (list of participating countries)
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal
  • A consortium composed of minimum 5 and maximum 10 applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities), which complies with the following conditions, must be constituted:
    • from minimum 4 different eligible countries
    • maximum 2 applicants can be from the same country
  • For large projects:
    • the consortium leader must have at least 4 years experience in EYE and at least 3 years experience as consortium leader in EYE
    • more than half of the consortium must have at least 4 years of experience in EYE
  • For small projects:
    • the consortium leader must have at least 2 years of experience in EYE, but not necessarily as consortium leader
    • no specific number of years of experience in EYE for other consortium members are stipulated
  • Applicants may not implement more than two EYE grants, under different cycles, at the same time

  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Extensions are only possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 20 million euros
  • Amount of the grant:
    • For large projects: between 750.000 and 1.500.000 euros
    • For small projects: up to 750.000 euros
  • Funding rate: between 75% and 100% of the total eligible costs
