Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote a shared historical perspective on european history
  • To tackle discrimination through heritage
  • To support the safeguarding and revitalisation of Jewish cultural heritage
  • To encourage cross-border cooperation and shared narratives
  • To empower young people and strengthen intergenerational exchange

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to raise public awareness about the richness and relevance of Europe’s cultural diversity
  • Priority 2: to encourage a deeper, more inclusive understanding of European history and identity—reaching citizens who may be unfamiliar with certain heritage narratives but are open to learning and engagement

Among financed actions

  • Activities that foster public involvement, such as exhibitions, cultural festivals, and educational programmes
  • Annual award ceremony
  • Joint research, co-curated, exhibitions, and shared learning formats

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
    • Creative Europe Participating Countries:
      • EU Member States (including overseas countries and
        territories (OCTs))
      • non-EU countries:
        •  listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Creative Europe Programme or countries which are in ongoing negotiations for an association agreement and where the agreement enters into force before grant signature (list of participating countries)
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register
  • Both applications by single applicants and proposals submitted by a consortium are allowed
  • A consortium composed of at least 2 applicants must be constituted

Additional information

  • Initial duration of the action: 40 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and approved through an amendment.
