ESF+ – Call for proposals Actions to boost the development of financed markets for social enterprises – 2023

Objectives

• To develop social enterprise finance markets by bringing together the supply and demand side actors to facilitate the creation of financial instruments and to prepare social enterprises for investments
• To mobilise key partners (potential investors, financial intermediaries, support organisations and stakeholders) to cooperate
• To identify, develop, promote and disseminate good practices in supporting social enterprise finance

Among financed actions

• Analytical activities such as in-depth market assessments, mapping projects,assessment of feasibility and suitability of setting up social finance mechanisms/instruments, design of methodologies, tools, processes
• Communications/networking actions aimed at bringing in additional investors
• Training activities and capacity building actions
• Knowledge dissemination and know-how transfer from and to peers
• Replication or adaptation of proven financing or support models
• Work of financial experts and lawyers to draft the legal documents
•  IT services in case the financial instrument uses web-tools or is based on a web platform

• This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
• Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

• Total budget of the call: 3.4 million euro
• Amount of the grant: between 300.000 and 400.000 euro
• Co-financing rate: 85% of the total eligible costs
